23-year-old Vincent and 17-year-old Alice are brother and sister. Following their parents' death in a car crash, they move in together to maintain the illusion of a family structure. But the unexpected and inglorious return of their 27-year-old brother Thomas from South America, where he had gone to live, shatters their fragile equilibrium.

After a warm reunion, old wounds and resentments start to overwhelm them. It is only brotherly love and the conviction that life really can be sweet that give them a possible way out of their impasse.

Vincent, 23 ans, et Alice, 17 ans, sont frère et sœur. Suite à la mort de leurs parents dans un accident de voiture, ils s’organisent au fur et à mesure un quotidien afin de maintenir l’illusion d’une véritable structure familiale. Le retour inattendu et peu glorieux de leur grand frère Thomas, 27 ans, parti vivre ses rêves en Amérique du sud, vient perturber leur fragile équilibre.

Malgré de chaleureuses retrouvailles, les blessures et les rancœurs finissent, au fil des jours, par prendre trop de place. Ce n’est, finalement, que grâce à l’indulgence de leur amour fraternel, à cette certitude que la vie peut aussi être douce, que leur émancipation devient enfin possible.
