His organized and neat world falls apart on the day of his 40th birthday. Violent fits of tinnitus and strange visions progressively impair his concentration. As a matter of fact, he is the only who hears false notes on his piano…Philippe is no longer in control and slowly tumbles into another world. A world governed by his fears and his anguish, but most of all by a traumatic event that he has buried down deep for over 30 years, back when he was a little boy still…Is he really tipping over into another reality, or is he merely the victim of his paranoid delusions?
Philippe est un pianiste prometteur. Obsessionnel et compulsif, il travaille sans relâche à la préparation d'une série de concerts à l'Opéra de Strasbourg. Son monde, organisé et impeccable, s'effondre le jour de ses quarantièmes ans. De violentes crises d'acouphènes et d'étranges visions perturbent progressivement sa concentration. En réalité, il est le seul à entendre de fausses notes sur son piano… Philippe perd le contrôle et bascule lentement dans un autre monde. Un monde régi par ses peurs et son angoisse, mais surtout par un événement traumatique qu'il a enfoui profondément il y a plus de trente ans, remontant à sa plus tendre enfance… Est-il réellement en train de basculer dans une autre réalité, ou est-il simplement victime de ses hallucinations paranoïaques ?
